Tucson-based qCA artistic director and 2009 Arizona Commission on the Arts Individual Grant recipient, Brandon Kodama, stages NEGYPT, a fragmented dance performance-artifact of juvenile black holes, inhaling concepts of non-duality, exhuming human ultra-creativity.
qCA performs deletist choreography. Deletist choreography is a vocabulary of movement which seeks to destroy itself within the moment of its own creation.
Coupled with an original soundtrack featuring some of Tucson’s finest musicians, qCA’s NEGYPT promises a cross-genre performance of unexpected, high energy butoh-inspired dance unlike anything else taking the local stage.
