SUMMARY:In Between\, a modern dance exploration of change (Flagstaff)
DESCRIPTION:In our thirtieth year\, Canyon Movement Company proudly presents The In-Between\, a modern dance exploration of change. The company has gone through a lot of changes in the last two years. And we are celebrating all that has come from it: new relationships\, new partnerships\, new dancers\, choreographers\, and stories told through movement. A special film of a live dance performance in the Grand Canyon with a live string quartet will be featured.  So in-between all of the holidays\, festivals\, and hum-drum of life\, the company along with guest artists will present an exploration of change through movement. \nPerformances are November 17-18\, 7:30 p.m.\, at the Coconino Center for the Arts \nSuggested donations at the door: $15/general\, $10/child-student\nCanyon Movement Company includes Breanna Lengyl\, Natalie Jones\, Danika Rudd\, Laura Covey\, and Zhuoting Wu with director Gina Darlington. DESCRIPTION:Jacob Jonas The Company (JJTC) is a Los Angeles-based creative company that intersects dance across mediums to make original works and initiates nontraditional collaborations. JJTC has created more than 100 original works for the stage and the camera with its “robust fusion of acrobatics\, ballet\, modern and street dance”(Los Angeles Times).  \nPresentations in live performance include Kennedy Center\, Hollywood Bowl\, Lincoln Center\, Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts\, Lensic Performing Arts Center\, and Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. JJTC has collaborated with diverse artists\, including Rosalia\, Elton John\, Sia\, Vanessa Beecroft\, and Patrick Watson. The company has created original work for brands like Apple\, Gap\, James Perse\, and Sony and partnered with museums\, such as Metropolitan Museum of Art\, Getty Museum\, Swiss National Museum\, and Whitney Museum.
