SUMMARY:SCC Dance's Creative Connections Choreography Competition
DESCRIPTION:SCC Dance’s Creative Connections (C2) Choreography Competition is now open!\nConsider submitting work to the C² Choreography Competition\, a mechanism to connect AZ High School Dance\, Scottsdale Community College (SCC) Dance\, and the AZ Professional Dance communities. Winners will receive an award as well as perform at the SCC Images in Motion Fall dance concert on December 12 and 13\, 2025. \nSome additional details:\nOne high school dance program will be chosen to:\n\nHave a $300 scholarship reserved at SCC for a designated graduate from their program\nPerform the winning selection on the SCC Images in Motion dance concert\n\nOne professional dance company will be chosen to:\n\nReceive an $800 award\nPerform the winning selection on the SCC Images in Motion Dance concert\n\nClick here for additional information and eligibility.  Works-in-progress are welcome!  Questions?  Contact ude.cceladsttocsnull@ecnadccs. \nApplication deadline is Friday\, November 14th\, 11:59pm

DESCRIPTION:The National Society of Arts and Letters Arizona Chapter invites members and guests to attend a special gathering on Saturday\, October 4\, from 2pm to 4pm at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West\, https://westernspirit.org/  \nWestern Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West\, 3830 N. Marshall Way\, Scottsdale. \nFree parking adjacent to the Museum. \nArrive by 2 pm and enjoy a self-guided tour of the Western Spirit Museum.At 2:30 pm join other NSAL members and their guests for light refreshments\, beverages\, and a program about Trumpet & French Horn plus a dance performance. \n \n  \nMeet Leif Austin for Arizona State University who is our Chair of the 2026 High Brass Competition. Leif will demonstrate how breath becomes music. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nEnjoy a special performance by past NSAL dance awardees as they interpret “Hoe Down” from Aaron Copland’s “Rodeo.” \n  \n  \n  \n  \nMembers are encouraged to bring guests of all ages to this complimentary event.
