DESCRIPTION:This opportunity is for enthusiastic young adults\, ages 13-17\, willing to grow as aerialists\, dancers\, performers and artists. We are looking for a dedicated group of artists that work well together.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZUZI! Dance Apprentice Company Mission: \nThe ZUZI! Dance Apprentice Company is a supportive community fostering creative aerial and modern dance performance opportunities while empowering the individual to embody confidence in their artistic and technical abilities and to work well as a team member. We are a safe\, supportive\, non-competitive environment\, students can soar in their artistic expression\, connecting the ground and the air. \n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\nStudents should have at least a full season of aerial classes and a year of some form of dance experience. You will need to be focused and have a positive presence in classes/rehearsals. \n​Thursday\, Aerial Trapeze Class – 5-6pm – September 1 – December 15 \nFriday\, Aerial Trapeze and Modern Dance Class – 5-6:30pm – September 2 – December 16 \nRehearsal – Sundays\, 10-11:30 – October 9th to December 18 \nNo Classes – November 18-27 \nAs a Student Company member\, you receive a discount on required weekly classes and rehearsals. \nPerformance Opportunities and Requirements:\nNo Frills Dance Happenin’ at the Valley of the Moon – November 13 – 5:30pm – (Dance component only) \nWinter Solstice Celebration – December 21st performance with a requirement to attend all tech and dress rehearsals on December 20th and 21st. \nAudition date:\nSunday\, August 21 – 10:30am—11:45am \nLocation is sYnapse Studio Y at 650 N. 6th Ave. \nTotal Program Cost\n(total includes the discounted cost for all required classes & rehearsals): \n$1\,250* \n* A payment plan is available!

DESCRIPTION:Join Convergence Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Phoenix for their Spring Performance\, May 28th\, 11am and 3pm at Arcadia High School. \nThe Spring performance features the 2nd Act of “Giselle\,” one of the most beloved scenes in ballet\, famous for its floating white spirits (Willis) performing with elegant precision. The recital also will feature a piece entitled “La Mer” portrayed by the youngest members of Ballet Theatre of Phoenix\, who will conjure images of an under water world filled with creatures of the sea. Rounding out the performance is Lander’s charming “Etudes” as dancers appear in a classroom and evolve into ever more challenging movement to delight the audience. \n \nGeneral admission seating. The event will take place at Herberger Theater Center’s KAX Stage from August 23rd to August 25th\, 2024\, with a submission deadline of May 10th at midnight.
