SUMMARY:Authentic Movement - Workshop 1 (Tucson)
DESCRIPTION:In Authentic Movement\, participants listen to their bodies and move from within\, with their eyes closed\, in the presence of a non-judgmental witness. After moving\, both mover and witness share their experiences\, either verbally\, or though writing\, art\, or movement. Movers may then become witnesses and witnesses may become movers. Authentic Movement is a rich\, transformative experience that helps people see themselves and the world around them in a new light. \nDance experience NOT required. The class focuses on breath\, alignment\, and articulation\, drawing from various influences\, including Africanist aesthetics\, Dunham\, and Horton techniques. \nBernard Brown is an exceptionally talented and remarkable artist. I hold immense love and respect for him\, his work\, craftsmanship\, and teaching.
