The performance will celebrate both the timeless elegance of classical ballet and the imaginative possibilities of contemporary storytelling through dance. \n“Paquita\,” a cornerstone of the classical ballet repertoire\, will highlight the school’s advanced students in a vibrant display of technical brilliance\, precision and exuberant choreography. Known for its dazzling variations and grand ensemble work\, “Paquita” remains a favorite among ballet audiences worldwide. \nThe centerpiece of the program is the debut of “Bedtime Fairytales\,” Iovino’s first student full-length ballet created specifically for Yen-Li Chen Ballet School. Inspired by beloved classic fairy tales\, the original work centers on a mother and her three daughters during bedtime story time. As the stories unfold\, the family is swept into those magical worlds where fantasy and reality begin to intertwine\, creating a heartfelt and visually enchanting theatrical experience. \nIovino has emerged as a visionary Brazilian-American creator known for blending classical ballet with a bold contemporary sensibility. Currently the Resident Choreographer for Ballet Arizona and Artistic Director of the Sedona Choreography Retreat\, he has created more than 26 original works.
