As of 8/9/21\, Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) remains committed to a health and safety conscious approach to minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our community. The Delta variant of COVID-19 has proven quite troublesome. In response to the CDC’s new mask guidance\, the City of Tempe reinstituted a mask requirement for all individuals who enter city facilities\, including TCA\, regardless of vaccination status. We are currently assessing the implications of this requirement on events within TCA. We are also coordinating with our arts and culture colleagues in the Valley to plot a path forward through the uncertainty of the fall. We will be in contact again with an update as soon as we have new information. PERFORMERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES\, EXCEPT WHEN PERFORMING ON STAGE OR PERFORMANCE AREAS.\n\nTCA HEALTH AND SAFETY – PATRON VACCINE POLICY. As of 9/7/21\, the City of Tempe is implementing the following COVID-19 policy: Patrons attending ticketed events at Tempe Center for the Arts are required to provide proof of full vaccination and are required to wear a mask. An official vaccination card or a digital photo are accepted forms of proof. We will be checking vaccination cards at the main entrance\, as well as at the Box Office. Patrons will be notified with a link to the TCA website for more information. (This does not apply to performers at this time.)\n\n\n\nEVENT CANCELLATION/CHANGE/REFUND POLICY: Please be aware that the City of Tempe has the power to change its policy or close TCA due to excessive numbers of Delta Variant/COVID-19 cases. If for any reason that the live performance must be cancelled or changed\, DDT will propose a contingency plan which may allow the festival to continue as a hybrid or fully virtual presentation. Depending on whether there is a full cancellation or change\, we can access and address refunding part or all of the participation fees at that time.

White Theater on NAU Campus. New special effects\, and updated choreography\, new cast members and other surprises are in store. Enhanced contemporary costumes\, a cast of over 40 dancers\, and aerial dance make this a great show this season!  This annual Flagstaff tradition uses music by Peter Tchaikovsky with some contemporary versions inserted among the traditional\, and new choreographic interpretations lending a fresh look to this classical favorite.  Beautiful backdrops of the San Francisco Peaks bring this holiday favorite home to Flagstaff and will send you home with the holiday spirit! \nPerformances are December 8-9\, 7:30 p.m.\, 11:00 AM matinee on the 9th at the Clifford E. White Theater on NAU Campus.  Tickets: $17/general\, $11/child-student. This journey from childhood to adulthood is traveled in a unique and interesting way this holiday season. \nMembers of Canyon Movement Company and the cast are also presenting a lecture/demonstration for local School students as part of their community outreach and educational programs. \nFlag Live said\, “The Nutcracker Suite in Modern Bare Feet successfully blended … two expectations. The end result was a distinctive combination that gave this performance a personality that could only be seen in a small town like Flagstaff. It was an extremely well-orchestrated family show.” \nThis performance is supported in part by funds from the City of Flagstaff and Flagstaff Arts Council\, the Arizona Commission on the Arts with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts\, the Arizona Community Foundation\, and private donors.
