With your support\, we can make the program accessible and affordable for Arizona’s children and youth. \n          With the current trends of diminishing public funding for sports and arts programs\, and the inability of many parents to privately afford those\, especially in low-income\, at risk school communities\, children and youth remain negatively impacted and are deprived of participating and experiencing the benefits of those opportunities. This also includes the students with special needs and autism\, who currently have no such opportunities.\n        Just for the last school year\, your generous support made ballroom dance accessible to over 100 low-income students at Create Academy.\n       This school year we are partnering with Arizona Autism Charter Schools serving 200+ students in grades KG-12 to deliver a school-wide ballroom dance program as part of their school curriculum in support of their education. 200+ students with autism with all range of abilities receive 10 ballroom dance lessons daily from our top-rated\, world-class ballroom dance professionals year-round. This is an unprecedented\, pioneer effort in the US! We are bringing the research and the benefits of ballroom dance to the students with autism at their school\, in their classrooms!\n          Your sponsorship will directly support the critical need to increase the number of children in Arizona who engage in ballroom dance as a physical activity to build life-long healthy habits. We hope you will consider sponsoring at the Masquerade Ball GALA and join our efforts to help shape a generation of healthy and thriving children and youth!\n          DanceSport Education is an Arizona\, not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and contributions are tax-deductible.\n\nTickets: $55 ages 4-16; $100-170 adults

SUMMARY:Once Upon a Star's An Afternoon of Simple Gifts Fundraising Event (Glendale)
DESCRIPTION:Once Upon a Star’s\nAn Afternoon of Simple Gifts\nFundraising Event\n \nEnriching the lives of young adults with special needs as they navigate their journey through the Arts  \nThis fundraiser is a day to celebrate the gifts and talents of our artisans and their friends\, including you! The proceeds from this event will help Once Upon A Star fund their continuing art\, music and dance classes and to create a permanent workshop for our artists to elevate their business.  Our event will showcase live music\, dance and art featuring artists from both on and off the autism spectrum. There will be a resource fair and silent auction. Children are free and very welcome. \nOnce Upon a Star was formed for a group of young artisans in the valley. Besides the fact that all these young adults share a creative passion for the arts\, they are also individuals on the autism spectrum. Eight-five percent of adults with autism/special needs will be unemployed and without opportunities for employment upon leaving a school setting. In order to create opportunities for young adults with special needs\, our small group of artisans\, with the assistance of some good friends\, has created Once Upon A Star. This is Arizona’s first non-profit designated to benefit young adults with special needs. Each individual sitting on the Board votes\, earns an hourly wage and directs the growth of his or her own small business. \nOur artisans share a unique perspective that has helped them create beautiful beaded glass stars. Everyone not only creates these intricate works of art but is involved in the operations and future of the business. Our program builds self-confidence and personal growth for these talented individuals and provides opportunities for the public to appreciate their many talents and gifts. \nYour $20 (children free)\, totally tax-deductible ticket\, provides entry to our event and is a raffle ticket to win a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Phoenix Zoo. The lucky winner and friends will explore areas of the zoo not open to the public. Our event will showcase live music\, dance and art featuring artists from both on and off the autism spectrum. There will be a resource fair and silent auction. Children are free and very welcome. \nHere are some other ways you can help and the details about this event: \n\n\n\nSPREAD THE WORD: Invite family\, friends and co-workers. \nDONATE: Contribute a special item or service for the Silent Auction. \nMONETARY: Gifts are welcome. \nSPONSOR: Be a patron of the arts for some very deserving artists and have your name or business included as one of our official sponsors. \nSome of our guests include: Heartstrings\, Deanna Bogart\, Ritmo Latino\, Jeff Jones\, Nick Baker\, Patti Munley\, Desert Dance Theatre/Step’s Junk Funk\, Liliana de Leon-Torsiello\, Vincenzo Torsiello\, Rebecca David\, David Moller\, and a special performance from the Meadowgate Academy choir – a special needs program from Wisbech\, England. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFind us at Facebook.com/onceuponastaraz or at 5807 N. 43rd Ave.\, Phoenix\, AZ 85019\, or email us at moc.liamGnull@zaratsanopuecno or call 602.548.3038.

SUMMARY:Leaps for Lives First Annual Spring Showcase (Tucson)

Proceeds from tickets sales benefit The HistioCURE Foundation. Tickets : $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door. Space is limited for this event. \nThe HistioCURE Foundation has been created with one purpose – to find a CURE for all histiocytic disorders. Their mission is to raise funds to support major research programs focused on finding a CURE for these diseases. Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis is a rare form of pediatric cancer that has touched our dance company personally\, and while our founder and her son are on the brighter side of diagnosis\, there are still countless numbers of children and families facing the tribulation of pediatric cancer treatments and the life long consequences of those harsh treatments. Through this production\, we hope to support those families. \nAbout The Leaps for Lives Dance Company: Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for Southern Arizona pet rescue organizations through dance productions. We are dedicated to the art of dance and to the well-being of our four-legged companions. In 2016\, we expanded our mission to include raising funds and awareness of pediatric cancer organizations. \nAbout Us: We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization based in Tucson\, Arizona. We work with other community dance projects to create a diverse and exciting annual dance showcase benefiting Southern Arizona animal rescues. We are proud to have made thousands of dollars in contributions to local rescues in our first six years! \nSupport for the project is provided by The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona\, funded by the City of Tucson and Pima County. \n\n\n\n\n
