DESCRIPTION:In Authentic Movement\, participants listen to their bodies and move from within\, with their eyes closed\, in the presence of a non-judgmental witness. After moving\, both mover and witness share their experiences\, either verbally\, or though writing\, art\, or movement. Movers may then become witnesses and witnesses may become movers. Authentic Movement is a rich\, transformative experience that helps people see themselves and the world around them in a new light. \nDance experience NOT required. DESCRIPTION:Contemporary Modern Summer Classes with Jamey Garner Powers \nThis open level class explores modern and postmodern dance in a fun and inviting environment. Drawing from release technique\, floorwork and contemporary dance\, the class offers a dynamic exploration of movement and musicality allowing for personal growth and artistic exploration. Appropriate for movers with some dance experience to more advanced movers\, the class can be modified to your level of dancing. This drop in series will run Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm-6:30pm beginning on June 4 and concluding on July 30.
