This unique setting will give audiences a taste of what is happening in Arizona’s dance scene. It is a perfect platform for dance companies to get exposure and promote their work\, to have a performance opportunity without having to incur the costs of producing a full concert\, to experiment with new work\, and to connect with others in the dance community._____________________________________________________________________________________ \nWHO CAN APPLY? – The Arizona Dance Festival is open to emerging dance artists and groups\, dance film makers\, pre-professional dance ensembles as well as professional dancers and companies from all genres and styles of dance. Applications are accepted from anyone from around the world\, but priority is given to Arizona dance artists and companies first. \nGUIDELINES – Dance works and films will be chosen through an unbiased adjudication process\, with attention given to artistry\, professionalism\, diversity\, creativity and dynamic performance. The performance is limited up to 10 minutes or less per dance. Dance works must not have been performed within a 30 mile radius from the event venue and not less than one month prior to the festival dates. We will enjoy  live music and vocal stylings from Ted Jachimowiz and Chelsea Rae and Aerial performances from CaZo Members as you uncover some clues.  There will be a Silent Auction with many items from local businesses\, Refreshments\, Beer and wine\, and mingling with 2025 CaZo Members. We will then entertain you with an introduction to our new members\, a sneak peak of our Fall Production\, “Coven.” We will also Inform you all of  what’s in store for Fall 2025- Spring 2026 and learn how you can help us succeed. We will end the night with a raffle and see who figured out who the Witch is that we will put on trial. Your ticket includes all of this and one free drink ticket for beer or wine and one raffle ticket (That can also be used for a drink).  We also have a ticket option for no Drink tickets as well. This is a night you will not want to miss. SUMMARY:Free Arts & Storybook Ballet: Peter Pan (Scottsdale)
DESCRIPTION:Free Arts\, in collaboration with Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Dance Theater West\, presents our Storybook Ballet\, Peter Pan. This Professional Artist Series brings children and teens\, ages 8 – 18 years old\, from foster care group homes\, to study with Dance Theater West for four weeks. Children learn movement skills\, team building skills\, rhythm and choreography. Free Arts invites you to the culminating performance of this series on Sunday\, September 14\, 2025. \nThe lobby (complete with exhibits) opens at 2 pm\, with the performance of Peter Pan beginning at 3 pm. In addition to the performance\, professional teaching artists have spent several weeks with youth exploring Peter Pan themes through visual arts workshops. Before and after the performance\, their final exhibits will be on display in the lobby\, along with participants showing off their newfound DJ skills. \nThis unique event is a rare opportunity to see our programming with young people live on-stage\, and in a beautiful venue. \nPlease join us at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and support these young people’s courageous efforts. \nThis program has been made possible\, in part\,\, through assistance from Scottsdale Arts.

Come by yourself\, bring a friend or bring a group of students to enjoy the ASU Dance Summit. \nASU Dance Summit 2025 \nFriday\, September 19\n8 a.m. to 2 p.m.\nASU Tempe campus\nBulldog Hall \nExperience dance courses in person: Participants will attend workshops with the ASU dance faculty and experience what it is like to take classes at ASU. Topics may include contemporary ballet\, somatic practices\, Afro-Latin movement practices\, creative practices\, hip-hop\, postmodern contemporary\, dancing histories\, improvisation\, choreographic prompts\, social and partnering\, collaborative work and discussion. \nIntroductions and community engagement: An interactive event where you will meet the director and dance faculty.
