DESCRIPTION:ZUZI! “No Frills” Dance Happenin’: Through the Looking Glass\nZUZI! will showcase independent adult choreographers and youth performances on Sunday\, April 2nd at 7pm.  This year’s presentation will be a bit different than other years. The audience will show up across a period of time throughout the evening to explore in groups this magical performance environment.  This exploration will culminate in a performance in the grassy stage area.  We are excited to announce a new feature of this show: the theme of Alice in Wonderland. \n\nZUZI! “No Frills” has been in existence for 24 years and is an important venue for local choreographers/dancers/performing artists/poets to show existing work or work in progress. It is a unique opportunity to showcase work and perform in a relaxed setting.  “No Frills” is a popular opportunity for youth performers\, schools and youth choreography and an important venue for local choreographers to showcase new work\, which can be quite experimental in nature. \nThis fall’s “No Frills” will take place at the historic Valley of the Moon — an enchanted historic fairyland that promotes kindness and imagination.  A unique artist-created environment\, Valley of the Moon offers a variety of experiences including tours\, theatrical performances\, and private events. There may be an occasional last-minute change and we don’t want you to miss it. \nRanae Boholl-Rochon is one of the amazing members of our Dance Fusion Staff! \nShe started her dancing career in Aberdeen South Dakota\, had apprenticeships at Chi-Town Dance and Giordano dance\, followed by a Distinguished Artist scholarship at Hope College. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.

DESCRIPTION:Beginning on February 4\, 2023\, Dance Fusion is offering a free Adult/Teen Beginning Basics Tap with Ranae Boholl-Rochon! \nClass is from 8:45-9:30 on Saturdays until July 31\, 2023. \nPlease sign up on our website: Register \nThere is no class on 3/11/23\, 4/15/23\, 6/17/23\, 7/1/23\, or 7/22/23. Remember to always check our schedule before coming to class. There may be an occasional last-minute change and we don’t want you to miss it. \nRanae Boholl-Rochon is one of the amazing members of our Dance Fusion Staff! \nShe started her dancing career in Aberdeen South Dakota\, had apprenticeships at Chi-Town Dance and Giordano dance\, followed by a Distinguished Artist scholarship at Hope College. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.

SUMMARY:Esperanza Dance Project presents Emerging Choreographers Showcase (Tucson)
DESCRIPTION:Tucson\, Arizona\, April 22nd\, 2023 – Esperanza Dance Project (EDP)\, is a Tucson-based non-profit organization committed to empowering survivors of childhood sexual trauma by eradicating stigma and secrecy while inspiring hope for healing through our impactful dance performance\, discussions\, and advocacy.  EDP will host its annual Emerging Choreographers Showcase on Saturday\, April 22nd. This event will include the premiere of 10 new works by emerging choreographers\, a performance of EDP’s classic repertoire House of Hope\, and an art exhibit featuring local artists. The event will be held at Catalyst Creative Collective in the Tucson Mall\, located at 4500 N. Oracle Rd. Suite 110. This event is open to the public. Suggested donation of $17. \nFor tickets and additional information\, please visit  www.esperanzadanceproject.org. \nDoors will open at 6 PM for this event and the performance will begin at 7 PM (PT). Guests will have the opportunity to view local artists in an art exhibit prior to the performance\, as well as during intermissions. A cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening. \nEsperanza Dance Project will use proceeds from this event to begin creating a middle school program. Historically\, EDP has performed in high schools and for teens and older throughout the community.
