DESCRIPTION:Tap 24.7 presents TapSide Story\nSunday\, May 29th\, 12 & 4 pm \nMesa Community College Performing Arts Center\, 1520 S Longmore\, Mesa \nTap 24.7 has created another original all-tap show featuring some of the most talented tap dancers of all ages from across the country. This story was inspired by tap dancers and how they interpret rhythms — by counting or scatting. \nWe are transported to a town called TapSide where two gangs of rhythm — THE COUNTS and THE SCATS — both feel like their way of interpreting tap steps is the right way. An opportunity to be in a new tap show has presented itself but the Counts and the Scats find themselves in a position where they must work together. Foes becoming friends. Collaborations that seemed absurd before are forming. How can that be? Scats were scats and counts were counts. But — can they help one another? Can they find that love\, that common ground that they share; and realize that their true passion\, despite their differences\, is the same? \nCome and find out! SUMMARY:Ballet Tucson Summer Dance Workshop with the University of Arizona School of Dance
DESCRIPTION:Ballet Tucson Summer Dance Workshop\nMay 31 – June 25\, 2022\n\nThe BALLET TUCSON Annual Summer Dance Workshop in cooperation with the University of Arizona School of Dance was established in 1986 to provide the serious dance student the opportunity to train and perform in a professional environment.\n\nHoused in the University of Arizona School of Dance facility\, the intensive workshop offers training for intermediate and advanced levels. Curriculum includes in depth study of ballet technique\, pointe\, jazz\, and modern dance. Special classes are offered in Russian character dance\, stage make-up\, classical variations\, conditioning\, and choreography. A teen/adult program is also available with classes held at Ballet Tucson on Tucson Boulevard.\n\nMaster teachers are brought in from prestigious companies and schools to offer students the exposure to broaden the scope of their dance education. A final performance will be presented at the close of the workshop. This performance features all students who have attended the entire workshop. Classes are held Monday through Saturday.

DESCRIPTION:Photo by Tzu-Chia Huang \nEnrollment for The School of Ballet Arizona 2022-2023 School year is now open! \nOpen auditions for new students will take place on Saturday\, August 13. \n2835 E Washington St. Phoenix\, AZ\n9:30a-10:15a-Ages 4-6\n10:15a-11:15a-Ages 7-12 (no pointe)\n10:30a-12:00p- Ages 12+ (pointe) \nAudition fee is $35 per student. Please arrive 15 minutes before your student’s scheduled audition class. \nProcess after registering for an audition: \n\n Audition class or open audition\n Decision letter\n If accepted\, link to registration\n\nChildren’s and Lower Division \nFor students ages 4-8. If the student does not have dancewear\, they may take this audition class in shorts (no denim) or leggings\, a t-shirt and socks. Female students are to have their hair in a bun\, neat and off the face. \nFor students ages 9 – 12. They should wear standard ballet attire (Black leotard\, light pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers for ladies) Female students are to have their hair in a bun\, neat and off the face. \nUpper Division \nFor dedicated students ages 12 – 20 years old. We ask that students wear standard ballet attire (Black leotard\, light pink tights and  bring pointe shoes if applicable for ladies. Dance tights\, fitted tee\, and white ballet shoes for gentlemen.) Female students are to have their hair in a bun\, neat and off the face. \nInternational Students \nThe School of Ballet Arizona is pleased to offer international students consideration to our Professional Program and Studio Company. \nFor video submissions: Please email the School for specific instructions at gro.zatellabnull@loohcs. There is a $35.00 audition fee for video submissions. If wanting an in-person audition: Please look to the Upper Division Section above. \nIf accepted\, please email your request to begin the I-20 process. \nThis school is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
