In “Match Girl”\, a young\, homeless woman sells matches on the street during a freezing winter. As she struggles to stay warm\, she has visions of happier times that she shares with other homeless people\, who end up only being in her imagination.\n\n“Match Girl” is suited for teen/adult audiences only.

DESCRIPTION:In our thirtieth year\, Canyon Movement Company proudly presents The In-Between\, a modern dance exploration of change. The company has gone through a lot of changes in the last two years. And we are celebrating all that has come from it: new relationships\, new partnerships\, new dancers\, choreographers\, and stories told through movement. A special film of a live dance performance in the Grand Canyon with a live string quartet will be featured.  So in-between all of the holidays\, festivals\, and hum-drum of life\, the company along with guest artists will present an exploration of change through movement. \nPerformances are November 17-18\, 7:30 p.m.\, at the Coconino Center for the Arts \nSuggested donations at the door: $15/general\, $10/child-student\nCanyon Movement Company includes Breanna Lengyl\, Natalie Jones\, Danika Rudd\, Laura Covey\, and Zhuoting Wu with director Gina Darlington. DESCRIPTION:The award-winning Scottsdale Community College Dance Program presents Images in Motion\, an evening of inspiring movement showcasing works by eight choreographers. They will be joined by guest performers from Tucson\, performing a work by choreographer Ana Carolina Brotons\, and North Valley Arts Academies Dance at Shadow Mountain High School\, a guest company performing a work by senior Vi Garza.  Both guests are this year’s winners of the high school and professional divisions of SCC’s Creative Connections Choreography Competition. \nThis all-ages performance will be presented in person and via livestream.
