This unique setting will give audiences a taste of what is happening in Arizona’s dance scene. It is a perfect platform for dance companies to get exposure and promote their work\, to have a performance opportunity without having to incur the costs of producing a full concert\, to experiment with new work\, and to connect with others in the dance community.\n_____________________________________________________________________________________ \nWHO CAN APPLY? – The Arizona Dance Festival is open to emerging dance artists and groups\, dance film makers\, pre-professional dance ensembles as well as professional dancers and companies from all genres and styles of dance. Applications are accepted from anyone from around the world\, but priority is given to Arizona dance artists and companies first. \nGUIDELINES – Dance works and films will be chosen through an unbiased adjudication process\, with attention given to artistry\, professionalism\, diversity\, creativity and dynamic performance. The performance is limited up to 8 minutes or less per dance. Dance works must not have been performed within a 30 mile radius from the event venue and not less than one month prior to the festival dates. THIS FESTIVAL IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT WHICH APPEALS TO A WIDE AUDIENCE. DANCE WORKS MUST BE APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES. \nAUDITION APPLICATION FEE – There is a non-refundable application fee of $25 for the first submission and $10 per additional submissions. \nPARTICIPATION FEES (IF SELECTED): \n\nSTAGE PERFORMANCE – If selected to perform\, participants must pay a participation fee per dance/per night of $50 (solo)\, $75 (duets)\, $100 (3-5 dancers) and $150 (6 or more dancers).DANCE FILM – If selected\, the participation fee is $25 per dance film/per night. \n\n\n\nThe participation fee will help cover expenses related to facility rental\, production\, tech staff and publicity. \n\n\nGRANTS – We have applied for grants to fund this year’s festival. If awarded any grants\, we will be able to waive the participation fee\, and allocate a stipend to participants selected to perform. There may be an occasional last-minute change and we don’t want you to miss it. \nRanae Boholl-Rochon is one of the amazing members of our Dance Fusion Staff! \nShe started her dancing career in Aberdeen South Dakota\, had apprenticeships at Chi-Town Dance and Giordano dance\, followed by a Distinguished Artist scholarship at Hope College. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.

DESCRIPTION:Beginning on February 4\, 2023\, Dance Fusion is offering a free Adult/Teen Beginning Basics Tap with Ranae Boholl-Rochon! \nClass is from 8:45-9:30 on Saturdays until July 31\, 2023. \nPlease sign up on our website: Register \nThere is no class on 3/11/23\, 4/15/23\, 6/17/23\, 7/1/23\, or 7/22/23. Remember to always check our schedule before coming to class. There may be an occasional last-minute change and we don’t want you to miss it. \nRanae Boholl-Rochon is one of the amazing members of our Dance Fusion Staff! \nShe started her dancing career in Aberdeen South Dakota\, had apprenticeships at Chi-Town Dance and Giordano dance\, followed by a Distinguished Artist scholarship at Hope College. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.

He has been seen working on conventions\, tap festivals\, workshops\, and performances all over the United States\, as well as throughout Mexico\, and Europe in over 10 countries. Zachary has been a part of the Team USA tap team since 2019\, where he earned his title of World Champion\, at the 2019 IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa\, Germany. He brought home a Gold and Silver Medal for the United States and continues to train as an athlete with Team USA.

We will move to encourage lightness to our felt (kinesthetic) movement experience to explore and expand.  Be prepared for some deep listening to the rhythms of the body and playful\, spontaneous explosions of movement.  Bring your curious self!  Open to a new way of inhabiting your precious body.  This class holds the space for nurturance in safety and trust.

Remember to always check our schedule before coming to class. There may be an occasional last-minute change and we don’t want you to miss it. \nRanae Boholl-Rochon is one of the amazing members of our Dance Fusion Staff! \nShe started her dancing career in Aberdeen South Dakota\, had apprenticeships at Chi-Town Dance and Giordano dance\, followed by a Distinguished Artist scholarship at Hope College. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.
