This unique setting will give audiences a taste of what is happening in Arizona’s dance scene. It is a perfect platform for dance companies to get exposure and promote their work\, to have a performance opportunity without having to incur the costs of producing a full performance\, to experiment with new work\, and to connect with others in the dance community. \nWe are excited to announce that the Arizona Dance Festival 2019 has expanded to a two part event: \nPart One of the festival will be held at the prestigious Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (SCPA) in Scottsdale\, AZ on September 19-21\, 2019. The SCPA is a landmark performance center\, seating 853\, which allows for a uniquely broad exposure\, larger audience\, a wide range of activities\, and a high level of technical capabilities. \nPart Two of the festival will be held at the beautiful Yavapai College Performing Arts Center (YCPAC) in Prescott\, AZ on October 3-5\, 2019. YCPAC is Northern Arizona’s premier entertainment venue\, seating 1\,064 and provides a professional performing experience for all. \nCompanies and individuals are chosen through an unbiased adjudication process\, with attention given to professionalism\, diversity\, creativity and dynamic performance. Applications are accepted from anywhere from around the world\, though preference is given to Arizona dance artists and companies. \nDANCE FILMS are also strongly encouraged for submission.  Proposals for teaching master classes are also being accepted. \nThe festivals will give you or your company great exposure\, and it’s a fun way to share your art with colleagues from around the state as well as guest dance artists from beyond. \n________________________________________________________________ \nWHO CAN APPLY? – The Arizona Dance Festival is open to dancers\, choreographers\, dance companies\, emerging dance artists and pre-professional dance ensembles of any dance form. The performance is limited up to a maximum of 10 minutes per dance. \nAUDITION APPLICATION FEE – There is a non-refundable application fee of $25 for the first submission and $10 per additional submissions. \nPARTICIPATION FEES – If selected to perform\, there is a participation fee per dance/per venue of $50 (solo)\, $75 (duets)\, $100 (3-5 dancers) and $150 (6 or more dancers). Each performance will showcase different dance artists/groups. He also sits on the Judges Panel for 8 National Dance Competition and on faculty for Motiv8 Dance Conventions State wide. \nClass Description: Contemporary Modern Fusion \nThrough Contemporary modern fusion we will explore the length and physical ability of the body. While exploring classical lines and technical phrase works with Horton and Limon influenced movements. Prepare to test the bodies ability to fly through space\, the minds ability to express the deepest of emotions through gestural movement and the natural flow we create through transitions. A physically demanding but soul satisfying class! Come ready to sweat\, ready to invest\, and ready to dance your heart out!

This unique setting will give audiences a taste of what is happening in Arizona’s dance scene. It is a perfect platform for dance companies to get exposure and promote their work\, to have a performance opportunity without having to incur the costs of producing a full performance\, to experiment with new work\, and to connect with others in the dance community. \nWe are excited to announce that the Arizona Dance Festival 2019 has expanded to a two part event: \nPart One of the festival will be held at the prestigious Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (SCPA) in Scottsdale\, AZ on September 19-21\, 2019. The SCPA is a landmark performance center\, seating 853\, which allows for a uniquely broad exposure\, larger audience\, a wide range of activities\, and a high level of technical capabilities. \nPart Two of the festival will be held at the beautiful Yavapai College Performing Arts Center (YCPAC) in Prescott\, AZ on October 3-5\, 2019. YCPAC is Northern Arizona’s premier entertainment venue\, seating 1\,064 and provides a professional performing experience for all. \nCompanies and individuals are chosen through an unbiased adjudication process\, with attention given to professionalism\, diversity\, creativity and dynamic performance. Applications are accepted from anywhere from around the world\, though preference is given to Arizona dance artists and companies. \nDANCE FILMS are also strongly encouraged for submission.  Proposals for teaching master classes are also being accepted. \nThe festivals will give you or your company great exposure\, and it’s a fun way to share your art with colleagues from around the state as well as guest dance artists from beyond. \n________________________________________________________________ \nWHO CAN APPLY? – The Arizona Dance Festival is open to dancers\, choreographers\, dance companies\, emerging dance artists and pre-professional dance ensembles of any dance form. The performance is limited up to a maximum of 10 minutes per dance. \nAUDITION APPLICATION FEE – There is a non-refundable application fee of $25 for the first submission and $10 per additional submissions. \nPARTICIPATION FEES – If selected to perform\, there is a participation fee per dance/per venue of $50 (solo)\, $75 (duets)\, $100 (3-5 dancers) and $150 (6 or more dancers). Each performance will showcase different dance artists/groups. Dance in Tucson has a call out for Choreographers & Dancers for their No Frills Dance Happenin’ happenin’ on November 8-9. \nFree to apply. If you are interested\, email moc.liamgnull@gnitekraMizuZ. \nA variety of choreographers throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona come to share fresh and innovative works. Performances highlight various stages of the creative process. The works range from serious to silly and some are presented here for the first time. \n“The ‘No Frills’ concert has come to serve two important purposes\,” says ZUZI!’s Director\, Nanette Robinson. “It has become a popular venue for showcasing youth performers\, schools\, and youth choreography and it continues to be venue for local choreographers to take creative risks with new work.” \nThe show has been described as an open mic for dance. Choreographers have a unique opportunity to perform in a relaxed setting. As the name suggests\, there are no frills—no fancy lights\, no fancy sets—just dancers\, choreographers\, and experimentation. \nJOIN US and participate in a community dance event that brings us together. \n  \n  \n
