The Company is interested in collaborating with presenters and their local partners to augment main-stage performances with a range of auxiliary events.  New works from several female choreographers have been commissioned\, and the classic rep will feature both Graham’s heroines and anti-heroines — all with an underlying statement about female power.  A new work by Lucinda Childs\, Histoire\, will be available for performances beginning in spring of 2018.  In the spring of ’19\, a new work by Pam Tanowitz and a co-creation by Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith will be premiered.  The work created for the Company by Annie-B Parson in 2017\, I used to love you\, will also be available. \n

From paintings\, sculptures and photographs to traditional pastries–discover elements of the American Southwest\, Mexico\, Latin America and beyond. \nOfrenda Exhibit: Ofrenda\, or Offering\, is part of the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos. DESCRIPTION:The West Valley Island Cultural Festival returns for its 6th year and is a multi-cultural event celebrating music and dance. Attendees can enjoy contests\, giveaways\, and live entertainment by local performers featuring Polynesian and Salsa dancers\, Belly dance\, musicians\, and dance lessons! Also\, fun food eating contests – one hosted by Papa Ed’s Ice Cream! Get ready for an exciting and colorful day of music and dance! \nA portion of the proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix \nCALL FOR ARTISTS\nThe festival accepts performers from all cultures! Pre-festival presentations\, dance/music workshops such as Hawaiian Hula\, Ori Tahiti\, Belly Dance\, and Drumming will start in October. \nPERFORMERS (check website for updates)\nTropical Polynesian Productions will open the festival with Hawaiian chanting and Hula Kahiko dance (Ancient Hula)\, directed by Kumu Hula Kalena known for their energetic and upbeat dances.
