DESCRIPTION:This virtual workshop is for all ages and all levels. \nJoin in from home for this virtual dance workshop. This workshop\, created and led by Nicole L Olson\, the artistic director of NicoleOlson|MovementChaos\, will embrace individual movement expression through set choreography and self-created gestures and actions. There will be a free-flowing warmup given at the beginning of class. Afterwards\, we will venture into learning a section from Olson’s solo work\, Blurring Whispers\, in an organic fashion while also creating our own movement to make the work uniquely yours. \nSince this is a virtual event\, you will receive detailed information on how to participate once you purchase a ticket.

DESCRIPTION:With the current pandemic and social restrictions\, we are converting our annual Spring Dance Festival to an online format! This has opened the door for entries from companies that normally wouldn’t be able to travel here to perform. \nDance videos will include dances that have been recorded live in the theatre\, Dances made specifically for film\, and new work created and recorded in isolation. Participating artists include: Canyon Movement Company\, Velocity Dance Company\, Movement Source Dance Company (Phoenix)\, Cazo Dance Company (Phoenix)\, David Ramos\, Jennifer Knott\, Perpetual Motion Dance Company (Oklahoma)\, and Sasha Chudak of (Colorado). \nMore information can be obtained on  www.canyonmovementcompany.org or  https://www.facebook.com/canyonmovement/ \nThis program is sponsored in part by the City of Flagstaff and Flagstaff Arts Council\, the Arizona Community Foundation\, and the Arizona Commission on the Arts with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. \nSuggested donation $15/general.
