($20 plus fees) \n-Regular Sales: March 8th  ($30 plus fee’s) \nThis show is most appropriate for Adults\, Teen and Children over 8 years \n*We will offer a student rush sale\, night of show $10 tickets (max 10 tickets if available)  \n*12 and under $10\, must contact box office prior \n\n\n\nSHOW INFORMATION \nFrom April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m and 2pm on 11/13.\, Scorpius Dance Theatre returns its popular production\, ANIMAL. An original show created by Scorpius’ Director\, Lisa Starry\, it is inspired by her love of animals and passion for their well-being. The show explores the relationship we have with animals\, as well as their social interactions\, physicality and movement. Overall\, a lighthearted and entertaining show\, Starry is also taking the opportunity to provide awareness and support for animals in our community and globally. \nStarry is an active supporter of the fostering and adoption of pets\, as well as global organizations working to end animal abuse. Audiences will be fascinated\, entertained and enlightended by ANIMAL.” \nANIMAL will feature nine different dance works\, comedic interludes\, plus two short films. From the unusual mating ritual of the praying mantis\, the slumbering ways of the sloth\, the slinky movement of snakes\, to the social interactions of dogs\, Scorpius’ dancers will use their athleticism\, grace\, and acting abilities to emulate the motion and behaviors of various domestic pets and wild animals. \nA heartwarming display of our love for animals\, one short film will feature pet owners interacting with their pets and the special bonds they share. SUMMARY:Adult Lucid Movement
DESCRIPTION:In this class we will look at the internal landscape of the body and how it relates to the external landscape of our world. We will move to encourage lightness to our felt (kinesthetic) movement experience to explore and expand.  Be prepared for some deep listening to the rhythms of the body and playful\, spontaneous explosions of movement.  Bring your curious self!  Open to a new way of inhabiting your precious body.  This class holds the space for nurturance in safety and trust.  All participants are required to read our safety guidelines here. \n  \nAll  Classes run from 10:00am to 11:30am on Saturdays.

SUMMARY:Sol Rhythmz Dance Festival (Tempe)
DESCRIPTION:Sol Rhythmz is the third event of the Sol Motion series within the Arizona State University Dance Department. It focuses on the dance traditions of the Senegambia region and the emergence of the dance forms within the diaspora\, specifically looking at the Caribbean. Participants will take a journey through dances from West Africa to the Caribbean. This day-long event features workshops\, a panel discussion and a social hour. The evening will include: new music and dance collaborations as well as some oldies but goodies. Born in Philadelphia in 1933\, local jazz legend Lewis began playing piano at age seven\, and was greatly influenced by musicians such as Oscar Peterson\, Ray Charles\, Dizzy Gillespie\, and Nat King Cole. He started his Arizona career playing at the South 7th Avenue Elks Club in Phoenix\, which is now a historic African American landmark. He eventually formed his own band\, The Charles Lewis Quintet. SUMMARY:Youth Aerial Trapeze: Spring Session
DESCRIPTION:All levels are welcome.  For those students with aerial experience\, this class offers the next step to advancing their skills.  This course will concentrate on the importance of fluidity while dancing on the trapeze as well as how to incorporate dance on the floor.  In addition to learning aerial skills\, students work on building spatial awareness\, trust & cooperation. Seating for the dance performances begins at 6:30 PM\, with the shows kicking off promptly at 7:00 PM. \nThe Sedona Dance Festival promises two evenings filled with captivating performances from eight esteemed dance companies\, each bringing their unique flair to the stage. DESCRIPTION:In this class we will look at the internal landscape of the body and how it relates to the external landscape of our world. SUMMARY:Youth Aerial Trapeze: Spring Session
DESCRIPTION:All levels are welcome.  For those students with aerial experience\, this class offers the next step to advancing their skills.  This course will concentrate on the importance of fluidity while dancing on the trapeze as well as how to incorporate dance on the floor.  In addition to learning aerial skills\, students work on building spatial awareness\, trust & cooperation. DESCRIPTION:Third Times a Charm as Once Upon a Bachelor Returns For Season 3 \nMesa\, Arizona\, February 16\, 2024 — CaZo Dance Theatre leap to the stage this Spring to debut season three of their wildly popular\, full-length dance production\, Once Upon a Bachelor. \nAlthough much of the show stays true to its roots\, season three opens its doors to the show’s first fairytale bachelor\, Reyrana\, Prince of Padovia. “The original idea for the show was to showcase a dozen fairytale princesses vying for the love of an ordinary man\,” says CaZo Creative Director and Choreographer Bridgette Borzillo. “But as the show continues to grow in popularity\, we have to keep upping our game. Having the bachelor also be a fairytale character felt like a perfect next step in the show’s evolution.” \nTo build even more excitement for the show\, Borzillo called upon the show’s fans to choose which characters from past seasons would return. “Once Upon a Bachelor has always been an interactive experience. SUMMARY:Adult Lucid Movement
DESCRIPTION:In this class we will look at the internal landscape of the body and how it relates to the external landscape of our world. We will move to encourage lightness to our felt (kinesthetic) movement experience to explore and expand.  Be prepared for some deep listening to the rhythms of the body and playful\, spontaneous explosions of movement.  Bring your curious self!  Open to a new way of inhabiting your precious body.  This class holds the space for nurturance in safety and trust.  All participants are required to read our safety guidelines here. \n  \nAll  Classes run from 10:00am to 11:30am on Saturdays.
