The event will take place at Herberger Theater Center’s KAX Stage from August 23rd to August 25th\, 2024\, with a submission deadline of May 10th at midnight. DESCRIPTION:In this class we will look at the internal landscape of the body and how it relates to the external landscape of our world. White Theater on NAU campus. \nThe Arizona Dance Coalition (ADC) will be hosting a pre-show opening reception with light refreshments on Friday\, starting at 7:00pm. Sign-up to receive ADC’s E-Blast and/or join as a new member and get a $5 Starbucks Gift Card! \nCYCLES is a collection of dances from Canyon Movement Company\, Human Nature Dance Theatre\, Ahlers Dance\, CaZo Dance Company\, Daniel Cunningham\, Step’s Junk Funk\, and other community dancers. Several of the dances were developed during a month-long choreography workshop hosted by Canyon Movement Company through their ARPA funding from the City of Flagstaff. It is a reflection on the places we’ve been\, where we are now\, and where we are going in the future. DESCRIPTION:This class is the continuation of the January Skinner Releasing Series and will build on the techniques taught during that series. The series runs for 4 weekends in the practice of listening\, moving alone and together through kinesthetic awareness\, growth\, connection\, and renewal through movement. \n  \nMen and women of all ages (professional dancers\, mature movers\, inexperienced dancers\, and folks that love to move in a meditative and spontaneous way) are invited to participate in this class. The use of playful and deep imagery and improvisation is incorporated and the classes build on each other. \nYour commitment to the series is a large part of the experience. \n  \nSRT reveals the natural grace in every human being and taps into transforming states of  consciousness which awakens the Dance within and guides us in the practice of letting go; letting go of stress\, letting go of unnecessary holding in our body\, letting go of preconceptions about what is supposed to happen\, letting go of fear of awkwardness\, letting go of the belief that we somehow don’t have the “right body”. \n  \nTactile exercises are used to give the imagery immediate physical effect in the movements of participants. \n  \nMay 18 – June 8 2024  \nSaturdays – 9:45am-11:30am \n  \nThe following must be completely read by participant and/or parent/guardian prior to registering: SAFETY PROCEDURES. \n  \nTeacher Information

His fiance\, Swanhilda\, sees Franz throwing kisses at Coppélia. Swanhilda soon learns that Coppélia is actually a doll that belongs to Doctor Coppelius\, the mad scientist and she decides to impersonate the doll\, in order to win the love of Franz. Chaos ensues\, but all is soon forgiven. Swanhilda and Franz make up and get married. The marriage is celebrated with several festive dances. \nGet tickets.
