SUMMARY:Youth Aerial Trapeze: Spring Session
DESCRIPTION:All levels are welcome.  For those students with aerial experience\, this class offers the next step to advancing their skills.  This course will concentrate on the importance of fluidity while dancing on the trapeze as well as how to incorporate dance on the floor.  In addition to learning aerial skills\, students work on building spatial awareness\, trust & cooperation. DESCRIPTION:Flagstaff’s Annual Spring Dance Festival is collaborating with ArtX and will present two evenings of dance on May 17-18 at 7:30pm at the Clifford E. White Theater on NAU campus. \nThe Arizona Dance Coalition (ADC) will be hosting a pre-show opening reception with light refreshments on Friday\, starting at 7:00pm. Sign-up to receive ADC’s E-Blast and/or join as a new member and get a $5 Starbucks Gift Card! \nCYCLES is a collection of dances from Canyon Movement Company\, Human Nature Dance Theatre\, Ahlers Dance\, CaZo Dance Company\, Daniel Cunningham\, Step’s Junk Funk\, and other community dancers. Several of the dances were developed during a month-long choreography workshop hosted by Canyon Movement Company through their ARPA funding from the City of Flagstaff. It is a reflection on the places we’ve been\, where we are now\, and where we are going in the future. A full and fun evening of dance exploring the cycles in our individual and collective lives. \nSuggested donations ($10-20) can be made online\, at the door via Venmo and cash. SUMMARY:Continuing Skinner Releasing Series
DESCRIPTION:This class is the continuation of the January Skinner Releasing Series and will build on the techniques taught during that series. The series runs for 4 weekends in the practice of listening\, moving alone and together through kinesthetic awareness\, growth\, connection\, and renewal through movement. \n  \nMen and women of all ages (professional dancers\, mature movers\, inexperienced dancers\, and folks that love to move in a meditative and spontaneous way) are invited to participate in this class. The use of playful and deep imagery and improvisation is incorporated and the classes build on each other. \nYour commitment to the series is a large part of the experience. \n  \nSRT reveals the natural grace in every human being and taps into transforming states of  consciousness which awakens the Dance within and guides us in the practice of letting go; letting go of stress\, letting go of unnecessary holding in our body\, letting go of preconceptions about what is supposed to happen\, letting go of fear of awkwardness\, letting go of the belief that we somehow don’t have the “right body”. \n  \nTactile exercises are used to give the imagery immediate physical effect in the movements of participants. \n  \nMay 18 – June 8 2024  \nSaturdays – 9:45am-11:30am \n  \nThe following must be completely read by participant and/or parent/guardian prior to registering: SAFETY PROCEDURES. \n  \nTeacher Information

A girl named Coppélia sits on her balcony all day reading\, speaking to no one and a boy named Franz falls deeply in love with her and wants to marry her\, even though he is already engaged. His fiance\, Swanhilda\, sees Franz throwing kisses at Coppélia. Swanhilda soon learns that Coppélia is actually a doll that belongs to Doctor Coppelius\, the mad scientist and she decides to impersonate the doll\, in order to win the love of Franz. Chaos ensues\, but all is soon forgiven. Swanhilda and Franz make up and get married. The marriage is celebrated with several festive dances. \nGet tickets.

SUMMARY:Continuing Skinner Releasing Series
DESCRIPTION:This class is the continuation of the January Skinner Releasing Series and will build on the techniques taught during that series. The series runs for 4 weekends in the practice of listening\, moving alone and together through kinesthetic awareness\, growth\, connection\, and renewal through movement. \n  \nMen and women of all ages (professional dancers\, mature movers\, inexperienced dancers\, and folks that love to move in a meditative and spontaneous way) are invited to participate in this class. The use of playful and deep imagery and improvisation is incorporated and the classes build on each other. \nYour commitment to the series is a large part of the experience. \n  \nSRT reveals the natural grace in every human being and taps into transforming states of  consciousness which awakens the Dance within and guides us in the practice of letting go; letting go of stress\, letting go of unnecessary holding in our body\, letting go of preconceptions about what is supposed to happen\, letting go of fear of awkwardness\, letting go of the belief that we somehow don’t have the “right body”. \n  \nTactile exercises are used to give the imagery immediate physical effect in the movements of participants. \n  \nMay 18 – June 8 2024  \nSaturdays – 9:45am-11:30am \n  \nThe following must be completely read by participant and/or parent/guardian prior to registering: SAFETY PROCEDURES. \n  \nTeacher Information

SUMMARY:High Flyin' Arts Summer Camp 2024 (Tucson)
DESCRIPTION:ZUZI! Dance’s literacy-based High Flyin’ Arts summer camp allows students to explore the dramatic and visual arts of aerial low flying trapeze\, creative dance\, and various forms of artwork. Each day will include physical movement through technique and choreography and an artistic expression in the form of costuming\, art\, and theater training. The camp session will begin on Tuesday\, May 28th and conclude on Friday\, June 7th with a showcase of the skills learned and projects completed by the campers over the course of the 9 camp days. However\, please let us know if you are missing something so we may check our lost and found or post a notice. \n● ZUZI! may use video and/or photographs taken during class or performance for publicity and/or advertising purposes. Please let us know if you or your child does NOT want to be used in media print or online so we can accommodate your needs.  \n● ZUZI! staff\, faculty\, Board of Directors\, or lessors are not responsible for injury to myself or my child\, whether based on allegations or not\, in any form\, by any reason of my participation in ZUZI! classes\, rehearsals\, performance and related programs or events.
