Get an intimate look at their creative process and see this new dance come to life. \nReserve Tickets to this Free Performance – October 22\, 7:30 pm \nCreated during the company’s 2018 “Made in Wickenburg” artist residency\, La Danse is performed to an original musical composition by John Levis and poetry by Karl Mullen. The work combines tender\, joyful\, passionate and humorous interpretations of Matisse’s three versions of his expressionist painting. \nCelebrating 30 years of innovative and engaging performance\, the international dance ensemble Koresh Dance Company was founded in 1991 by Israeli-born Choreographer and Artistic Director Ronen Koresh. Presenting its audiences with an exciting and emotional blend of ballet\, modern dance and jazz\, Koresh’s style of choreography is both eloquent and explosive. After moving to Phoenix\, she performed in Super Bowl XXX and XXXI\, at the Las Vegas Mirage\, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has performed with the Beach Boys\, Diana Ross\, James Brown\, Standing O Productions\, Contempo Tap Company\, Showstoppers Interactive Entertainment\, and danced in industrial shows for Oscar Meyer\, Pepsi\, Toyota\, Intel\, and America West. In addition to judging nationwide dance competitions and owning her own tap company\, Renae has been teaching at independent dance studios and public schools for almost 30 years. Some of Renae’s former students have gone on to dance with Cirque du Soleil\, on cruise ships\, and with artists that include Lady Gaga\, Justin Beiber\, and Taylor Swift. Though she is trained in all types of dance\, tap is her passion and will always be her first love.

DESCRIPTION:NicoleOlson|MovementChaos performs in Canal Convergence\nSaturday\, November 5\, 6:45 pm & 8 pm \nLOCATION: The Scottsdale Waterfront\, in and above the Arizona Canal and along the pedestrian pathways and bridges\, between Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard.  \nCanal Convergence | Water + Art + Light — currently in its 10th year — will feature dozens of creative workshops\, exciting performances\, informational tours and a few additional artworks for the free in their 10-night event November 4-­13 at the Scottsdale Waterfront. \n2 DANCE PERFORMANCES: NicoleOlson|MovementChaos  \nEmpyrean \nInspired by the heavenly sphere in ancient and medieval cosmology consisting of fire and light\, the dancers of NicoleOlson|MovementChaos will travel the Canal Convergence grounds as celestial beings\, creating modular and elegant dances throughout the night. \nNicoleOlson|MovementChaos will also be performing a site-specific work on the Marshall Way Bridge on Saturday\, November 12th\, 8:15 pm on the Marshall Way Bridge: Wishful Waters & Starry Nights. \nPhoto by Airi Katsuta\, Makeup for Empyrean by Terre Steed \nRosy Mack & Jukebox dance companies will also be performing on both Saturdays. Led by resident choreographer Robert Garland\, this multi-ethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics and neoclassical works by George Balanchine.
