Arizona Dance Coalition welcomes Dr. Hanna Ian to the Board of Directors
Hanna is a naturopathic physician and avid dancer of Ballroom, Rueda, Contra, Latin and Argentine Tango. She is the director of the newly formed The Tango Connection, a non-profit organization for the promotion interest and involvement in the music, culture and dance of Argentine Tango in northern Arizona.
As a dancer and a former public health professor, she works closely with the Centers of Disease Control, the Arizona Department of Health and Human Resources and her medical organizations to create guidelines for returning to safe social dancing during this pandemic.

With over twenty years experience in the fields of public health, environmental medicine and preventive medicine, Dr. Ian brings an extraordinary combination of skills, knowledge and sharp perception to her medical practice in Flagstaff. She has served on the public health faculty of Southern Connecticut State University as well as Patient Educator for the Department of Obstetrics at Yale-New Haven Medical Center. She is the former Medical Director of Brookfield Integrative Medicine in Brookfield, the first integrative medical center in Wisconsin and a current spokesperson for the American Cancer Society where she lectures on breast health and breast cancer prevention.

The Arizona Dance Coalition is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) membership-based organization. We work to connect and support the statewide dance communities through our website content, communications, and sponsorship of educational dance conferences and master classes. We inform, educate, and promote dance arts and their benefits to the general public.
