Sight Lines is an exploration of perspectives and the ways in which what we see, as well as how we are perceived, are defined through the viewer’s personal sight lines. Personal, cultural and community stories are interwoven into an original production of dances by students in Choreography 1 and 2 classes, collaborative works by students in Performance classes which are inclusive with no audition required, returning dance program alumni and a full company dance choreographed by Artistic Director, Janaea Lyn McAlee. Audience members are invited to stay for a brief post-performance conversation with the company immediately after each performance.
DancEstrella: Sight Lines will be performed at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) on Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st at 3p.m. and 7p.m. The EMCC Performing Arts Center is located at 3000 North Dysart Road in Avondale, AZ. This event is open to the public, admission is free and seating is general admission.
