A fusion of modern, jazz and ballet, David’s unique style utilizes a strong base of classical technique to explore a wide range of organic, angular movements alongside syncopated rhythms. His contemporary class emphasizes artistry and musicality while simultaneously challenging the dancer to move in new, unconventional ways. The class itself begins with a warm-up of modern-influenced Horton, Limon and Graham in addition to a ballet base. The effective techniques employed by David throughout the class are easy to follow and focus on building proper execution, alignment, strength and flexibility without injury. The class progresses on to learning David’s integrated style of choreography with it’s emphasis on continuity and phrasing . Dancers are asked to go places within themselves in order to grow both as artists and as people. When this is accomplished one word can describe the experience… Living!
