Ori Tahitian dance lesson. The most energetic of all the Polynesian dances and widely known for very fast hip movements. (Remember the dancer during the Hawaii 5-0 theme song and credits.) Emphasis is on hip isolation. Instruction includes strength and stamina training. Learn the difference between Otea and Aparima.
Global Grooves - A Celebration of Dance Diversity (Phoenix) An evening of world dance featuring Middle Eastern dance by Sharqia Dance Theater and Farhat al Raqs, classical Indian dance by Sanskaar Nritya Dance Academy, and traditional Polynesian dance by Hālau Kūliaikapono.
