AZDance Group, under the artistic direction and founder Kenda Newbury, presents their spring collection concert VISITING.

VISITING – Season-finale concert featuring the professional dance roster of AZDance Group, guest artists and AZDance’s outreach programs including Movement E-Motion (MEM). Movement E-Motion is a dance program which provides ballet, jazz and modern dance training and performing experiences to those with Down Syndrome, Autism and physical challenges.

AZDance Group is a professional dance company which integrates their outreach programs (at-risk/underprivileged teens, young adults with Down Syndrome/Autism, and their children and apprentice company members) with professional dancers from around the globe. The company presents educational, inspirational and thought-provoking works. This season-finale concert is no different.

VISITING is a collaboration of new & familiar works with choreographers Nicole Person-Rennell, Katie Rennell, Deserae McCall, Ray Vogel, Stacy Shane, Aidan Schubert, Raini Leveen & Amber Koklys and Kenda Newbury. The company brings a positive message of support and caring in their remaking of excerpts from  Moving Through Domestic Violence (premiered 2009, financially supported in part by the City of Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture, The Hansen Trust and generous anonymous supporters), excerpts from Water (premiered 2014) as well as new works to the Arizona theaters.

As per their mission statement of sharing their art within a variety of communities, AZDance will be presenting VISITING at two different valley theaters.
