Ballet Arizona’s New Moves (PHX)

Ballet Arizona puts acclaimed choreographers in the spotlight for an evening of new and innovative ballet September 27 – 30, 2018 at the Orpheum Theatre. Times vary: Thursday 7 pm, Friday-Saturday 7:30 pm, and matinees Saturday 2 pm, Sunday 1 pm.
Rio by Ballet Arizona Artistic Director Ib Andersen. Set to music by Philip Glass and inspired by samba, Rio explores the movement and vivacity found in Brazilian culture.
Arizona Premiere of In Creases by Tony Award-Winning Justin Peck, Resident Choreographer of New York City Ballet. In Creases is sponsored by Bob Benson.
World Premiere of Inherent by Nayon Iovino, named “Best-Up-and-Coming Choreographer” by AZ Central.
