bluesy ZUZI! – Tucson

May 12, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm MST

4th Annual ZUZI! Blues Break – A fundraiser for ZUZI! Dance

A new addition to Tucson blues traditions, Bluesy ZUZI! is an annual event for blues lovers and those who love to dance to the blues. ZUZI! is Arizona’s premier multi-generational dance institution. ZUZI! creates and teaches dance for all levels and all ages for art and maintaining health. ZUZI! is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that showcases talent in programs and community collaborations with outside dancers, musicians, poets, youth organizations and actors. Friends of ZUZI! have assembled a band of seasoned professional local musicians who individually and collectively support dance in the Tucson community.

Featuring Heather “Lil’ Mama” Hardy

The band features sensational violinist, Heather “Lil’ Mama” Hardy with special guest Greg Davidson on guitar. As well as Alex Flores on the saxophone, Nick Augustine playing bass, and Dani Ponce beating on the drums. We’re thrilled to welcome back Bruce Blackstone, emcee, on harmonica. Heather Hardy has been a part of the Tucson blues community for over 25 years, playing everywhere from the Sam Taylor Blues Band to punk band False Prophets.

Join us for a night of music, drinking, and dance!

This year, drinks will be provided by a local brewing company and Circo Vino wines. As well as Nations Creations food truck serving indigenous deliciousness!
