Continuing Skinner Releasing Series

June 8 @ 9:45 am - 11:30 am MST

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:45 am on Saturday, repeating until June 8, 2024

This class is the continuation of the January Skinner Releasing Series and will build on the techniques taught during that series. The series runs for 4 weekends in the practice of listening, moving alone and together through kinesthetic awareness, growth, connection, and renewal through movement.

Men and women of all ages (professional dancers, mature movers, inexperienced dancers, and folks that love to move in a meditative and spontaneous way) are invited to participate in this class. The use of playful and deep imagery and improvisation is incorporated and the classes build on each other.

Your commitment to the series is a large part of the experience.

SRT reveals the natural grace in every human being and taps into transforming states of  consciousness which awakens the Dance within and guides us in the practice of letting go; letting go of stress, letting go of unnecessary holding in our body, letting go of preconceptions about what is supposed to happen, letting go of fear of awkwardness, letting go of the belief that we somehow don’t have the “right body”.

Tactile exercises are used to give the imagery immediate physical effect in the movements of participants.
