Finding Your Contemporary Groove with Jordan Daniels

October 14, 21, 28 ~ 3 Saturdays, 1-2:30 pm, $30
Intermediate/Advanced Movement Experience Required
Mesa Arts Center, Acting Studio

This class will be focused on contemporary technique information in line with current somatic and functional alignment information as researched and presented by Jordan Daniels. Starting slow, the class allows the body time to find comfort inside of a new space. Different levels of effort will be achieved by somatic and choreographic combinations with class culminating in learning new material from JordanDanielsDance newest solo work Installment 3:Instinctually Human. The root of the class is designed around coming as you are and finding a more deep understanding of your own personal groove in movement. This workshop will act as the first of many incubators in search of movers and performers interested in long term training and collaboration as provided by project based dance company JordanDanielsDance.

Jordan Daniels is a performance dance artist and Phoenix native, currently residing uptown. He works as a contemporary modern faculty member for the School of Ballet Arizona and Arizona School for the Arts. As well he has been a full company member and collaborator with Tempe based company Conder/DANCE for 5 years.
