Free Arts, in collaboration with Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Dance Theater West, presents our Storybook Ballet, Peter Pan. This Professional Artist Series brings children and teens, ages 8 – 18 years old, from foster care group homes, to study with Dance Theater West for four weeks. Children learn movement skills, team building skills, rhythm and choreography. Free Arts invites you to the culminating performance of this series on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

The lobby (complete with exhibits) opens at 2 pm, with the performance of Peter Pan beginning at 3 pm. In addition to the performance, professional teaching artists have spent several weeks with youth exploring Peter Pan themes through visual arts workshops. Before and after the performance, their final exhibits will be on display in the lobby, along with participants showing off their newfound DJ skills.

This unique event is a rare opportunity to see our programming with young people live on-stage, and in a beautiful venue.
