ABOUT

Founded in 2017 as a part of ASU School of Film, Dance, and Theatre’s Sol Motion project, the festival is a three-day event composed of social/performance dance workshops, lectures by visiting guest artists, evening social dancing, dance performances, and more.

Latin Sol encourages exposure to learning by bringing in prestigious out of state artists, providing varied teaching perspectives and encouraging crossover interactions between multiple dance communities.

Hosted by the ASU Salsa Club, Latin Sol is primarily by students/alumni, for the students/alumni. Although designed primarily with the ASU community in mind, Latin Sol also welcomes and cherishes participation by outside members of the dance community. The event bridges these communities and encourages a unification of all dance lovers.
