ZUZI! Dance No Frills – A Dance Happenin’ (Tucson)

November 3, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm MST

$5 – $10

ZUZI! Dance presents the fall edition of its biannual No Frills – Dance Happenin’.

A variety of choreographers throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona come to share fresh and innovative works. Performances highlight various stages of the creative process. The works range from serious to silly and some are presented here for the first time.

“The ‘No Frills’ concert has come to serve two important purposes,” says ZUZI!’s Director, Nanette Robinson. “It has become a popular venue for showcasing youth performers, schools, and youth choreography and it continues to be venue for local choreographers to take creative risks with new work.”

The show has been described as an open mic for dance. Choreographers have a unique opportunity to perform in a relaxed setting. As the name suggests, there are no frills—no fancy lights, no fancy sets—just dancers, choreographers, and experimentation.

Join us in support of local artists for a night of raw artistic expression!

Featuring choreographic works by:

Gotta Dance | Leaps For Lives Dance Company | Roachie Vee | Bethanne Griffin | Dancesequences, Inc. | Megan Maltos of Danswest | Arts For All | Shelby Kalil  | Magon Thaler | Amanda Rohrbach | and more…
