Raucous Flights Through Space with Sydney Jackson
November 4, 11 & 18 ~ 3 Saturdays, 1-2:30 pm, $30, Mesa Arts Center, Acting Studio
No Previous Movement Experience Required
Whether you are building on fundamentals or training as a professional dancer, this class series will take you as far as you wish to go and when you reach that, hopefully a tad further. We will travel to the outskirts of our imagination to explore ourselves and our physical bodies in ways we have yet to. Small internal shifts to raucous flights through space (Note: Unless you have the ability to be airborne, there will be no actual flying), this class will move you. Bring awareness to what is already there through fresh perspective from your classmates, the facilitator, and yourself. Creative movement experience is encouraged, but imagination is mandatory!
Sydney Jackson is a movement artist based in Tempe, Arizona. A Maryland native, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Arizona State University and is currently freelancing in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
