ZUZI! “No Frills” Dance Happenin’ Showcase (Tucson)

April 2, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm MST

ZUZI! “No Frills” Dance Happenin’: Through the Looking Glass

ZUZI! will showcase independent adult choreographers and youth performances on Sunday, April 2nd at 7pm.  This year’s presentation will be a bit different than other years. The audience will show up across a period of time throughout the evening to explore in groups this magical performance environment.  This exploration will culminate in a performance in the grassy stage area.  We are excited to announce a new feature of this show: the theme of Alice in Wonderland.

ZUZI! “No Frills” has been in existence for 24 years and is an important venue for local choreographers/dancers/performing artists/poets to show existing work or work in progress. It is a unique opportunity to showcase work and perform in a relaxed setting.  “No Frills” is a popular opportunity for youth performers, schools and youth choreography and an important venue for local choreographers to showcase new work, which can be quite experimental in nature.

This fall’s “No Frills” will take place at the historic Valley of the Moon — an enchanted historic fairyland that promotes kindness and imagination.  A unique artist-created environment, Valley of the Moon offers a variety of experiences including tours, theatrical performances, and private events. Valley of the Moon is almost 100 years old and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit formally incorporated in 1945 to foster tolerance and brotherly love for all mankind, regardless of race, creed, or color.

Tickets: $10 | Children under 6 FREE
