Description: Twenty two dance artists from Arizona are gathering on one stage to present their “art” for the community of So AZ during this first Dance Festival of Southern Arizona held in Tucson Oct 19-20. We will be showcasing African, Salsa, Samba, Argentine Tango, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Percussive Movement Art — Step’s JUNK FUNK! There will even be a dance film by Flagstaff videographer Amanda Kapp.
BREAKING NEWS: Students from University High & Tucson High will perform the finale created special for them by LA guest choreographer Chad Michael Hall, Director of MULTIPLEX DANCE and Asst Professor at Univ of Cal/Irvine.
