With a limited amount of time left (deadline February 28th) to complete the Economic Impact of the Dance Industry in Arizona SURVEYS, we sent a reminder POSTCARD to all the Arizona Dance Businesses and Freelance Dance Artists on our list. If we have missed you (it went bulk mail), the postcard image is in this post. We’d like to provide cards to all studio/school instructors and company/team dancers. Tell us how many, and we’ll get them in the mail asap: gro.noitilaoCecnaDzAnull@anytsyrK or call 520-743-1349.

The ‘data collected’ from these surveys is extremely important to the success of our project, and we ask every single dance business, teacher, dancer, and those in dance-related jobs, to complete one of three surveys by February 25-28th to help us determine the economic impact of the Dance Industry — nonprofit AND ‘for profit’ — in Arizona for the year 2019 — pre-pandemic — when all was normal.

If you are an EMPLOYEE (volunteers, too), own/manage an ORGANIZATION, or are a SELF-EMPLOYED/SOLE PROPRIETOR, you will be asked to describe yourself, your business, your income (from what sources), and most important, your ‘expenses.’ Where did you spend your money? Will we be able to identify potential ‘sponsors?’

ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDIES are about JOBS (#dancers, #teachers, #staff, #guest artists, etc), VISITORS TO OUR STATE (auditions, intensives, competitions, guest artists, festivals, conferences/conventions), RENT/Occupancy, PRODUCTION EXPENSES (venue rentals, costumes, travel, etc.), #audience members, #students (who do you serve; how many do you serve).

The survey PLATFORM is Alchemer and it is the same secure, trusted platform used by Dance/NYC. It is sophisticated and we will be able to generate some great reports for analysis. But it is expensive and we can only conduct this survey through February 28th.

Please PLAN and MAKE TIME to complete the survey soon.

FREE GIFT & $5600+ in DRAWING PRIZES – DRAWING March 1, 6 pm

Upon completing and submitting the survey, you will be directed to a page to select a FREE GIFT — a printed poster by dance photographer Ron Brewer (a longtime Arizona Dance Coalition member), or a poster by Southern Arizona portrait and muralist Alejandra Trujillo.

Ron has generously donated a Studio Photo Shoot worth $540 – 4 retouched digital images – for the DRAWING on March 1, 6 pm! Thank you, Ron.
