“The Garfield Arts Experience” is a series of FREE workshops for the Garfield Neighborhood youth. This project will culminate in a festival style event, where the youth will perform what they learned at Garfield Elementary School. The neighborhood and general public are invited to attend, and participate in various hands-on activities. “The Garfield Arts Experience” will expose the participating students to dance, music, poetry, visual arts, junk funk, etc. Students will learn the process of collaboration and teamwork, building pride and self-esteem in their creative work.
