NEW ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts School of Music, Dance and Theatre

Open Rank Professor, Dance | Principal duties for this position include teaching across the curriculum with a focus in: somatics, movement therapies, dance education, movement practices, or creative practices based on the expertise of the candidate. The position includes mentoring and advising students at undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, there is an expectation to work collaboratively across the School of Music, Dance and Theatre and contribute to the breadth and depth of course offerings for major and non-major students in both in-person and online learning environments. The successful candidate will supervise and mentor student projects, including senior thesis research and MFA applied projects in a range of contexts. The faculty member is expected to maintain or develop a national profile as a professional artist and/or scholar who is able to connect classroom experiences to professional practice. In addition to teaching, active participation in shared faculty governance and service within the School, Institute, and University is expected.

NEW Mesa Arts Center – Internships: Marketing and Public Relations, Development Department

Internships are a way students can gain professional experience and provide a service in their community. At Mesa Arts Center, interns who work in the marketing department gain experience in marketing, public relations, publicity, social networking, content creation, arts administration and event promotion. Interns become familiar with all of the internal departments of Mesa Arts Center, including Art Studios, Engagement, Festivals and Volunteers, Development/Membership, Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum and Performing Live.

NEW Marketing Specialist – FT – reports to the Director of Marketing. The Marketing Specialist helps develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. The specialist has an understanding of SEO, SEM, display, web site optimization, paid social media, email marketing and others. The specialist will work closely with Ballet Arizona’s digital agency to recommend strategies and tactics, and execute approved plans. The Specialist will also work closely with the Director of Marketing, artistic and other administrative staff, as well as vendors, to help curate content for digital and traditional channels.

Executive Assistant – FT – The Executive Assistant supports the daily administrative activities of the Executive Director. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information. This position is ideal for an individual who can prioritize, provide excellent customer service and be outcome-oriented. The Executive Assistant must be able to think strategically, be proactive and assertive, possess emotional intelligence, demonstrate effective customer service, and clear communications.

School Assistant – PT/Evening Hours (12-30 hours per week) – The School Assistant provides evening and weekend administrative support to staff, teachers, parents & students of the School of Ballet Arizona (SBAZ). The School Assistant must:

    • Maintain knowledge of SBAZ mission, policies and programs;
    • Provide administrative support on a daily basis;
    • Work under the direction of the School Manager.
    • Bi-lingual a PLUS!

Box Office Representatives – PT Seasonal – Box Office Representatives provide seasonal telephone and in-person sales of individual tickets and subscription packages, as well as customer service to support professional and student performances for Ballet Arizona. Representatives will work at the main box office location near downtown Phoenix during regular business hours, and will also provide in-person ticket sales support at the box office at Symphony Hall, the Orpheum Theatre, the Dorrance Theatre, and the Desert Botanical Gardens on the evenings and weekends of performances.

ASU Gammage – (Tempe) 

Artist Engagement Manager – FT. Visit cfo.asu.edu/hr-applicant and search the staff positions for 73077BR. Seeking an experienced professional to manage the Beyond performance series residency, community and campus engagement activities and performances as well as other artist engagement initiatives and Cultural Participation programs, including Military Family First nights and Expressions. The ideal candidate will expand working relationships with diverse ASU student and campus departments and outside organizations and key individuals to support our programs and have strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Programs and Organizational Initiatives at ASU Gammage. The work location is at Desert Financial Arena on Tempe Campus. This position is salaried and requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate night, weekend and/or holiday events.

Graphic Design Specialist – FT. Visit cfo.asu.edu/hr-applicant and search the staff positions for 72983BR. Seeking a skilled graphic design specialist to create posters, brochures, newsletters and fliers for advertising efforts and internal department projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills including understanding of print and electronic advertising. This is a salaried position that also works nights and/or weekends as needed for events. This position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager and is located at the Desert Financial Arena on the Tempe Campus.
